This is a striking coastal setting where families and friends can gather for the Maine coast wedding of their lifetime. The atmosphere is timeless, comfortable, low-key, and relaxed. Yet, with food and service you might not expect in such a rural location. We are still taking reservations for 2008 events. The weekends of September 13th and September 20th are still available.

Business Meetings and Business Retreats
The tranquility of Oakland House a perfect spot to recharge, rekindle and reposition. Oakland House provides a natural setting for seminars and retreats,
with meals and accommodations on site. Presentation equipment available. There is a casual gathering place in the wagon barn, several hotel dining rooms, and Shore Oaks Seaside Inn. With and additional 15 cottages there can be many mini-meetings going on at the same time. Meals and snacks can be provided.

Family Vacations, Family Gatherings, and Family Reunions
This is a natural for family get-togethers in which family members of all ages come together to relax and enjoy one another's company. There is plenty do on premises or in the environs. During the warmer months all the cottages, the activities barn, the Oakland House restaurant and
Shore Oaks Seaside Inn can be used for events for up to 100 people. Birthday luncheons,
ladies night out, anniversary celebrations and week-long family reunions regularly take place

Yacht Club Landings and Boaters' Overnights
Yachting groups on summer tour in East Penobscot Bay can moor off-shore and join in for a lobster
picnic on our beach. Boaters find the dock and moorings a great help when hot showers, a delicious dinner, and cozy bed ashore are in order. Great Yacht Club Landings and Boaters' Overnights.
