Winter is the quiet time of year, a time to read, study, cook wonderful meals, hike in the crisp air and more. Here are some tried and true suggestions:
Watch for Bald Eagles gliding overhead and congregating on Herricks Landing beach.
Hike on the Yellow, Blue, and new Green Trails that are marked with cairns, tape flags, or spots on the rocks.
Follow the tracks in the snow: a rabbit, raccoon, deer, fox, bobcat, rabbit...
Sip hot chocolate by the fire while reading The Wall Street Journal or a comic book.
